Human Resources Assistant

Join the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) team as a Human Resources Assistant and demonstrate your customer service and technical knowledge! We’re currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual who is committed to delivering internal customer experience and technical knowledge at our Risk and Benefits office working in the Human Resources Division.

Successful candidates will have technical knowledge and experience in human resources functional areas, specifically workers compensation and protective leave management, and applying this knowledge to work problems while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Candidates will also have a basic understanding of applicable software and computer operations; specifically, Office 365 platforms including Word, Excel, and Teams.

Scheduling:

Tentative hours and shift availability: Monday – Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm.Job Classification Status:

Part-time benefits (PTB) eligible employees work an average of 20 hours per week but, less than 30 hours, on a year-round basis and are eligible to enroll in a benefits package. To learn more about the part-time classifications THPRD offers, see Part-Time Classifications.

Essential Job Functions

Communicate with employees and vendors regarding protective leave or workers' compensation matters, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel and accurately documenting all messages and relevant case information as needed

Provide clerical support such as preparing and proofreading forms, data entry, and emails.

Provide general support for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that would likely provide the applicant with the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of office experience with at least one year in human resources, risk management or a related field.

AND

Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, plus additional specialized training equivalent to a two (2) year degree or university education with coursework or training in human resources.For more information regarding qualifications, please click here to review the full job description.
