Job Description

MBI Automation is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to provide leadership and work direction. The role requires both technical expertise for personal projects and the ability to ensure successful project development and execution.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Design, develop, and implement control systems for various applications, according to customer specifications.

Use AutoCAD Electrical to create/update electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics schematics.

Must be able to program Fanuc robots and at least one or more of the following brands of robots: ABB, KUKA, YASKAWA and Motoman.

Program using RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000 and Factory Talk View Studio.

Support engineers in the development of advanced controls systems designs, i.e. PLC, HMI, robotics, vision systems, industrial communication networks, automation applications and high-level languages for various types of automated equipment.

Evaluate machine process problems, determine root cause and execute corrective action plans.

Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment (such as pneumatics).

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical, Mechanical or Robotics Engineering)

Eight plus years related work experience in the controls engineering field; previous supervisory experience required.

Proven experience in leading engineering projects and teams.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to communicate with multiple departments effectively.

Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Excellent work history and attendance record.

Ability to travel 15-25% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
