Job Description

Join our team as a Class A CDL Driver at a dynamic food distribution center. This role involves operating an automatic transmission vehicle and engaging in touch-freight activities, including assisting with unloading at customer sites such as food pantries.

Responsibilities

Operate Class A CDL trucks for pickup and delivery of food products as assigned.

Assist with unloading food items at customer locations.

Ensure timely and accurate inventory control.

Utilize computerized Warehouse Management Systems.

Operate warehouse equipment including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

Adhere to safety standards and obtain Forklift certification.

Maintain strong attendance and organizational skills.

Interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Contribute positively to team environments.

Work in various warehouse environments including general storage, coolers, and freezers.

Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Essential Skills

High School Diploma and at least two years of work experience or equivalent education and experience.

Valid driver's license.

Experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.

Proficiency with computerized Warehouse Management Systems.

Experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to multi-task and work flexible schedules.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferred 3 - 5 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.

Strong customer service expertise.

Food safety experience.

Knowledge of Foodbank programs and their mission.

Work Environment

Experience working in a more rural and older site within a food distribution center. Be prepared to operate in various environments including freezer, cold storage, and dry areas.

This is a Permanent position based out of La Crosse, Virginia.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
