Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled professional with expertise in American Sign Language to support young learners in an early childhood educational setting. This position is designed for the full semester, focusing on providing language interpretation for a preschool student, ensuring effective munication and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with a strong understanding of deaf culture.

Previous experience working in educational settings, particularly with young children.

Ability to interpret effectively and adapt munication styles to meet the needs of students.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals.

Certification from a recognized accrediting body in interpreting (preferred).

Chisholm, MN

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for the preschool student, facilitating access to the curriculum.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the students munication needs.

Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions as required.

Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality in all interactions.

Assess and adjust interpretation techniques to suit the needs of the student and educational environment.
