Job Description
Mill Machinist
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and running complex operations on horizontal/vertical milling or mill/turn machines with multi-axis twin spindles and twin turrets. You will select proper tooling for different machining sequences and maintain set-up sheets for new parts or design changes. You will operate CNC Mills such as Mori Seiki, Makino, Kitamura, Brother, and Hurco 5-axis, and perform offsets at the controller, editing on the control, and tool changes. Additionally, you will conduct first article inspections after parts are machined.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Mills, including Mori Seiki, Makino, Kitamura, Brother, and Hurco 5-axis machines.
Select appropriate tooling for different machining sequences.
Maintain set-up sheets for new parts or design changes.
Perform offsets and editing on the control and make tool changes as necessary.
Conduct first article inspections after parts are machined.Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in CNC setting up and machining on vertical and horizontal milling centers.
Proficiency in G&M Code, with the ability to edit code and program at the control.
Strong blueprint reading skills.
Capability to perform a full machine set up.
Experience in setting up and operating CNC Lathe Machines.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC Mill Programming, specifically using GibbsCAM or MasterCAM.Why Work Here?
