Weekend CNC Machinist

Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a Weekend CNC Machinist to join their team. As a Weekend CNC Machinist, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a sense of urgency which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Weekend CNC Machinist

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $21.61

What's the Job?

Safely and accurately operate a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components.

Utilize manual machines for fabrication tasks as required.

Read and interpret mechanical drawings for components, tubes, and rods, making necessary calculations.

Employ quality control equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure product quality.

Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

What's Needed?

Minimum 2 years of CNC machinist experience and hands-on G-code programming knowledge.

Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings.

Experience using standard manual quality control equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Effective communication skills to interpret instructions and respond to management's direction.

Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions.

Demonstrated attention to detail and a sense of urgency in completing tasks.
