POSITION TITLE: Procurement Manager

Job Summary:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and finalization of procurement strategies for the purchase of all materials, parts and services used throughout the entire organization. This position will also be responsible for acquiring the resources within budget and facilitating high level communication between Allura USA and its suppliers, to achieve key partnerships and the lowest possible total cost of ownership. Coordination of data of all the Group’s requirements to ensure compliance with policies and procedure is a key responsibility of this position.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Below is the scope and the major responsibilities of the position for the Procurement Manager:

Define procurement goals to support business objectives, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

Identify and qualify new suppliers to secure more cost-effective sources.

Analyze trends and closely monitor market conditions for pricing, availability, and lead times of fiber cement raw materials.

Maintain and improve long-term partnerships with key suppliers.

Use current spending data to identify and develop a cost reduction plan.

Initiate, review, and execute major procurement contracts, in collaboration with the Legal department, for compliance with corporate requirements.

Lead the way of leveraging Allura USA’s bargaining power, to gain a competitive advantage over competition.

Reporting to the head of Supply Chain of the company and regularly update senior management and stakeholders on current and forecast market conditions, which may impact on the Group’s ability to operate effectively.

Manage a team of three fiber cement plant Procurement Managers, with their direct reports, to develop quality procurement and inventory reports and to ensure that accurate data is obtained.

Lead, coach, mentor and motivate subordinates by setting annual employee objectives and monitoring progress at least bi-annually.

Participate in the recruitment and selection process and employee performance management issues.

Understand, support, and adhere to the Group’s health and safety policies and procedures. Communicate and promote those to coworkers.

Maintain high standards of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when interacting with colleagues, of all levels, throughout the organization and suppliers.

Lead people in such a way to reflect integrity, respect, and enthusiasm.

Retain and enhance a culture and an environment that promotes effective communication with all levels of management, as well as with suppliers.

Drive consolidation of spend and seek synergies throughout the Group.

Qualifications

Proven record of high negotiation skills.

Ability to attend senior management meetings and conduct presentations.

Ability to write and execute procurement policies and procedures.

Bast knowledge and Computer skills.

Excellent communication skills, open-minded and strategic thinker.

Ability to effectively operate under pressure and team collaboration skills.

High organizational and planning skills.

Knowledge of procurement of life cycle and best practices.

Knowledge of financial terms and the financial implications the procurement decisions have.

Willing to travel 30%-40%.

Academic and working experience.

Bachelor’s degree in BA, supply chain management, purchasing or Engineering degree is required.

At least 10 years of procurement experience in the manufacturing sector.

Experience in fiber cement manufacturing is a plus.
