Managing daily operations, logistics workflows, dispatch coordination, and customer success efforts across three fast-paced business units

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience and performance

ANTICIPATED TRAVEL:

Minimal - Some local travel may be required for business development or client support

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Operations Manager 4 oversees daily activities across three business units: Expedited.co (logistics/delivery), RL Hurston Carriers (freight/transportation), and Pinto Blue (staffing/consulting). This cross-functional role requires exceptional organization, task management, and communication skills to coordinate remote teams, vendors, and clients. The Operations Manager will act as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring smooth logistics, dispatch support, customer satisfaction, and workforce performance across all service lines.

SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Oversight

Monitor and manage workflows for real-time dispatch and delivery activities at Expedited.co

Track freight movement, broker assignments, and driver performance for RL Hurston Carriers and Pinto Blue's

Respond to internal operational bottlenecks, reroute loads or orders, and troubleshoot logistics issues

Ensure policies, SOPs, and service protocols are consistently followed across brands Team Management

Supervise dispatchers, virtual assistants, and driver support staff across all three companies

Monitor team attendance, task completion, and shift handovers

Lead daily or weekly team check-ins, assign priorities, and handle scheduling conflicts

Train new hires and contribute to building team documentation or onboarding SOPs Client & Vendor Coordination

Serve as a liaison for high-touch customers needing fast turnaround or tailored delivery

Oversee vendor relationships including carriers, 3PL providers, and staffing platforms

Ensure proper handling of escalations and service issues, including post-delivery follow-up Reporting & Performance Tracking

Submit weekly and monthly performance reports to the COO

Track KPIs such as on-time deliveries, carrier utilization, client satisfaction, and SLAs

Ensure all data entries in CRM, TMS, or operations tracking tools are updated and audit-ready

Identify patterns, flag risks, and recommend workflow improvements or automation opportunities UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fill in for dispatchers or logistics support staff during emergencies or staffing gaps

Coordinate team coverage during off-hours or holidays

Contribute to special projects (e.g., process automation, service expansions)

Assist with client onboarding or operational playbook development PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on multiple screens

Light lifting (up to 25 lbs) of office or equipment materials if on-site WORKING CONDITIONS:

Primarily in office with occasional travel to warehouses or client sites as needed

High-speed, multi-platform environment requiring multitasking and real-time communication

Must be comfortable with cross-brand coordination and multiple reporting lines REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED (required); Associate's or Bachelor's in business, supply chain, or logistics preferred

Minimum 2 years experience in operations, dispatch, logistics, or administrative team management

Familiarity with logistics tools (e.g., DAT, Truckstop, Route4Me, TMS platforms, CRM software)

Proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and task/project management tools

Strong written and verbal communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Dispatch experience in courier, freight, or on-demand delivery models

Customer service or account management experience

Experience working across multiple brands or managing multi-client service teams
