As a valued colleague on our team, you will act as a Senior Engineer in designing and developing advanced solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments. This includes coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications, as well as coaching and mentoring team members.

The Senior Backup Operations Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure role offers you the flexibility to make each day your own while working alongside people who care. You will deliver on the following responsibilities:

Apply your advanced skills and knowledge to develop backup solutions for application, cloud and data systems.

Understand the end-to-end performance of on-premises and cloud systems and various support frameworks.

Establish and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.

Monitor performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions and lead the team in addressing identified issues.

The Experience You Bring to the Team *

Minimum Required Experience:

2 years of hands-on experience in on-prem backup operations and engineering

Experience supporting hybrid systems, on-prem and in the cloud

Experience with NetBackup and its various types

Experience with continuity planning and disaster recovery

Experience running on-prem backup environments

Experience automating failover requests

Desired Experience:

4+ years of experience in engineering on-prem backup solutions

Bachelor's degree

AWS certifications

Skills

Skilled in backup operations and continuity planning

Strong understanding of on-prem backup environments

Ability to automate failover tasks

Skilled in stakeholder and crisis management

Strong understanding of business insights and impact of critical systems to daily operations

Skilled in agile methodology

Ability to prioritize incidents in regards to business continuity operations

Ability to customize solutions based on the demands of the customer

Skilled in monitoring and observability technologies

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
