The Virtual Sales Engineer is responsible for the following:

Main Responsibilites:

Act as a single point of contact for customers providing pre- and post-sale activities for sales under a prescribed dollar amount and complexity

Collaborate and communicate with outside sales personnel to ensure full coverage of customer needs

Proactively follow up on warm marketing leads and requested quotes for the Scientific Vacuum and Industrial Vacuum business lines

Provide general information on all Leybold Products

Takes ownership of open territory and lapsed customers to drive sales

Works with the applications team to offer product alternatives to best meet customer requirements and support sales objectives.

Recognize that a customer of one product could also purchase other Leybold products

Demonstrate proactive selling of Leybold products. Identifies opportunities for expanding the sale through additional options and complementary products

Maintains customer databases

Document customer activity using our CRM

Other duties as assigned

This position requires occasional travel for less than 5% of the position.

This position will have remote flexibility after training (60% in office/40% remote).

The number of people/functions to whom a service is provided- North American customer base and internal contacts in sales

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Education level:

B.S. degree in Engineering, other Technical discipline, business or marketing with a technical aptitude

Relevant Previous experience:

Entry Level, 1-3 years of technical experience preferred

Vacuum equipment or selling of technical product experience a plus

Knowledge areas/Skills:

Excellent oral & written communication skills

Working knowledge of MS Office Products

Positive customer-focused attitude and successful interaction in a dynamic team environment is a must

Strong critical thinking skills

Attention to details and problem-solving abilities

Phenomenal teammate who is flexible and adaptable

A self-starter with strong work ethic

Other requirements:

Fluent in Spanish is a plus

Valid driver's license.
