Manager, Brokerage

**This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence Tuesday-Thursday**

Lead transportation strategy at the intersection of logistics and innovation.

UniGroup is seeking a Manager, Brokerage to oversee third-party transportation sourcing and execution across our logistics and household goods business lines. This position plays a key role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality, cost-effective service by managing carrier relationships, driving operational excellence, and partnering across teams to solve complex transportation challenges.

What You'll Do:

Own and manage all aspects of 3rd party capacity sourcing for both logistics and household goods shipments, including full truckload, LTL, and specialty moves such as auto transport.

Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse carrier base to ensure reliable service, competitive pricing, and capacity coverage.

Lead a small but impactful team, setting clear goals, developing processes, and providing coaching to support professional growth and team performance.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, account management, and sales to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.

Analyze trends and performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings, improved service levels, and efficiency gains.

Act as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders by providing market insights and brokerage expertise to inform pricing, capacity planning, and customer solutions. What You Bring:

5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage, with direct responsibility for 3rd party carrier sourcing and relationship management.

Experience across both household goods and general freight (preferred but not required).

Strong leadership skills with prior experience coaching or supervising others.

A collaborative mindset with the ability to navigate competing priorities, influence decision-making, and build trust across teams.

Analytical and solution-oriented; you're comfortable using data to guide decisions and improve results.

Working knowledge of TMS platforms and digital freight tools.
