Assembler

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking Assemblers with sheet metal or structural assembly experience to support production of aerospace components such as canopies and subassemblies for advanced aircraft systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical parts for programs like the F-16, F-35, and C-130.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and refurbish aircraft structural parts and subassemblies using controlled tooling and build-to-print methods.

Align parts on jigs using templates, fixtures, and measuring tools.

Perform hand-finishing and fitting tasks: drilling, reaming, countersinking, riveting, trimming, filing, cold working and more.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, and technical data.

Measure, verify, and inspect completed work to meet high-quality standards.

Modify or repair completed assemblies to incorporate design changes. • Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or GED.

1-2 years of sheet metal experience (does not need to be aircraft-specific).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Strong communication skills; able to work independently or as part of a team.

Basic computer proficiency for shop documentation and data entry. Preferred:

Previous experience in aircraft assembly or structural repair.

Familiarity with F-16, F-35, or C-130 assembly work is a plus.

Prior experience using air tools, calipers, micrometers, and measurement systems.

Previous experience in DoD, aerospace, or defense production environments.
