The Pricing Manager will lead Hawkins Parnell’s strategic pricing and financial analytics function, leveraging pricing as a critical driver of client strategy, profitability, staffing decisions, and competitive advantage. This role requires a highly analytical, data-savvy professional who excels at financial modeling, pricing strategy formulation, and translating pricing insights into actionable business development and account management strategies. Collaborating closely with firm leadership, practice groups, and client teams, the Pricing Manager will ensure pricing strategies align closely with the firm's value proposition, market position, and growth objectives. This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic pricing methodologies and frameworks designed to optimize profitability, competitiveness, and client satisfaction.

Lead pricing strategy discussions with attorneys, practice group leaders, and firm leadership, providing critical insights to shape staffing models, client management, and overall business strategy.

Conduct sophisticated pricing analyses, financial modeling, and scenario planning for pitches, proposals, and client engagements to inform pricing decisions and enhance win rates.

Monitor industry and competitive pricing trends, proactively identifying opportunities to differentiate the firm through strategic pricing and value-based billing structures.

Partner with finance, marketing, business development, and practice group leaders to develop integrated approaches that effectively position pricing as a component of the firm's overall value proposition.

Evaluate and refine pricing strategies based on ongoing performance analytics, client feedback, and evolving market conditions.

Support attorneys in client pricing negotiations, ensuring alignment with firm financial objectives, value-driven client service, and long-term strategic account growth.

Develop and deliver training programs, tools, and resources to attorneys and client teams on pricing best practices, profitability management, and strategic pricing positioning.

Establish robust pricing policies, governance processes, and systems to ensure consistent application of pricing strategies across the firm.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in strategic pricing, financial analysis, or pricing strategy within professional services, ideally in mid-to-large law firms or complex consulting environments.

Proven expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and advanced analytics to inform strategic pricing decisions.

Highly proficient in data visualization, financial analytics software, and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with legal pricing tools and billing systems a plus.

Strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to align pricing strategies with broader organizational objectives, client management strategies, and value positioning.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and attorneys through clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.

Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical capabilities, proactive mindset, and strong attention to detail.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related quantitative discipline and advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Data Science) strongly preferred.
