We’re seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as part-time Childcare Assistants for our After School Program at Haldane Elementary School in Haldane, NY for the 2025–2026 school year.

PAY: $15.50 per hour

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Support hands-on experiences using our Healthy Kids Curriculum — from physical activities and STEAM projects to creative arts, academic challenges, and more. And yes, homework help is part of the fun!

Foster a safe, exciting, and healthy environment where children feel empowered and engaged. Be a role model they admire every day.

Keep families in the loop through the Playground App, sharing updates and special moments as they happen.

Follow OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program standards, and the policies of our host school to ensure everything runs smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.

One year of experience working with children under age 13 is great but not required — we value passion just as much as experience!

Cleared by a physician to fulfill all job duties, including being free of communicable diseases like TB.

Friendly, upbeat, and great with people — you communicate well with kids, parents, and coworkers alike. Dependable and punctual, too!

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., staying active, and handling the physical demands of working with energetic children.
