Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
Join a leading Oil and Gas company specializing in manufacturing plastic and rubber components to support downstream operations. We are seeking skilled CNC Mill Machinists to operate a VMC mill, fabricating production parts to meet print specifications and quality standards. You will be responsible for operating CNC machines such as a HAAS mill and will handle multiple setups per shift or week as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate VMC mill/HAAS mill to fabricate production parts according to print specifications and quality standards.
Learn to operate HAAS CNC machines to fabricate plastic parts.
Handle 2 to 3 setups per shift or week based on client requests.
Program and operate VMC mills, preferably Haas or similar, to machine plastics, metal, and rubber components.
Perform set ups and make necessary edits to ensure precision and accuracy.
Study blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
Program parts and set controls to regulate machining factors such as feed, speed, pressure, and coolant flow.
Run dry cycles before production begins to ensure safety and accuracy.
Implement new methods of setup and manufacturing utilizing the latest technology.
Report changes in production rates and process updates for router modifications.
Provide production rates for quoting purposes as requested.Essential Skills
Minimum of 3+ years experience performing edits and setups, familiar with g codes and m codes.
Experience working with 4-5 axis machines maintaining +/- 1/2 in .0001 tolerance.
3-5 years of experience with HAAS mills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to study blueprints, sketches, and drawings for setup requirements.
Familiarity with CNC machining processes and techniques.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean and orderly manufacturing and production environment that is climate-controlled but can become hot and loud. Candidates should have experience in similar conditions. You will work the second shift from 4 PM to 12 AM, with occasional Saturdays. Safety glasses and steel-toe footwear are required, and other necessary PPE will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HUMBLE, Texas.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
