CNC Swiss Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. This role works closely with Engineering to coordinate all production and post-processing activities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in CNC programming, process improvement, and troubleshooting in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Shift: 1st

Schedule: Day Shift – 4-10 hour days and 5.5 on Friday

Pay: $38-44 per hour

OT after 8 hours worked per day = DAILY OVERTIME

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret technical drawings and 3D models to create CNC programs for Swiss and Milling machine centers.

Develop cost-effective, sustainable machining processes with a focus on capability and repeatability.

Set up and operate CNC machines to verify process reliability.

Write detailed work instructions and procedures to support manufacturing operations.

Apply full knowledge of G-code for effective CNC control.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including:

Cycle time reduction

Tooling cost optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality and LEAN principles.

Assist in the development and validation of new processes, tooling, and fixturing.

Perform quality assurance tests and coordinate engineering evaluations.

Update BOM/BOO within ERP system under change control.

Support cost estimating and quoting for tooling solutions.

Troubleshoot daily manufacturing issues using LEAP structure methodology.

Required Qualifications:

2–3 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (preferably SolidWorks, NX, and Esprit).

Strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing and selecting tooling/fixturing for complex parts.

Previous work experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

LEAN / Six Sigma training with practical application.

Experience in an ISO 13485-regulated environment.
