About the Project
Our client, a mission-driven organization in the public/nonprofit sector, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new budgeting tool—migrating from PowerPlan to UNA Budget (Questica tools). This role will drive the successful planning, execution, and user adoption of the new system in advance of the FY26 budgeting cycle.
You’ll also play a key role in a follow-up initiative: transitioning the organization’s voice services from Comcast to Microsoft Teams Voice.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting Tool Implementation
Lead full-cycle project management: planning, execution, testing, and go-live.
Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors.
Ensure smooth integration with Blackbaud Financial Edge.
Oversee internal resource coordination and user adoption.
Manage staff training for ~30 program budget managers using vendor-provided materials.
Establish centralized documentation (via SharePoint or Microsoft Teams).
Ensure accurate data entry and compliance throughout.
Serve as escalation point for rollout issues and track progress throughout execution.
Secondary Project
Project Title: Voice Services Migration (Comcast Microsoft Teams Voice)
Coordinate number porting and phased rollout across departments and locations.
Partner with IT leadership and external vendors.
Ensure documentation and communication remain seamless across the transition.
Ideal Candidate
Must-Have Skills
5+ years of project management experience, ideally in IT or systems implementations.
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven success leading cross-functional teams and driving adoption.
Detail-oriented and reliable with task tracking, reminders, and issue escalation.
Preferred Experience
Working with finance systems or budgeting tools.
Familiarity with Questica UNA Budget or PowerPlan.
Exposure to Blackbaud Financial Edge.
Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice or similar telecom transitions.
Comfortable in hybrid settings (Bay Area or NorCal-based is a plus).
