Aerospace Assembler

Job Description

We are looking for an Assembly Technician - for a large space technology company in Palo Alto, CA.

Pay rate: $27-$28

Shifts: Mon to Fri, 6am-2:30pm

In this role, you will work in a 10k clean room performing spacecraft assembly, integration and testing. You will support critical operations moving spacecraft throughout the facility as well as launch activities. To be successful, you will need to interpret drawings, work instructions and specifications for the assembly of complex assemblies. You will need the agility to work on and around spacecraft structures.· Obtain and maintain classroom technical training as well as OJT certifications

· Operate cranes, forklifts, man lifts and other handling equipment

· Prepare and assemble component parts into complex assemblies

· Follow work instructions, navigate spacecraft model and document progress on each assembly maintaining logs in real time

· Torqueing, bonding, general mechanical assembly skills.

· Able to lift 50 lbs. with assistance.

· Able to work on diving boards and ladders for extended periods of time.

· Strength & flexibility to work on ladders, platforms & man-lifts up to 18 feet high while in confined spaces such as S/C interiors, thermal vacuum & acoustic chambers.

· Work primarily in small teams to accomplish daily production goals

· Prepare and support electrical and environmental testing

· Keep work spaces neat and organized

· Keep training and certifications up to date
