Controls Engineer

Job Description

Trident Talent is seeking a Controls Engineer receptive to relocating within a reasonable distance to Alabaster AL, to oversee sourcing and purchasing, shipping and receiving, handling, inventory control, Automate manufacturing or similar processes through the use of instrumentation or controls systems. Applies standard engineering techniques to design, develop, and maintain instrumentation or controls systems.

1st Shift Salary Role between 90K-110K DOE

Job Duties:

· Develop new and modify existing PLC or HMI applications, interfaces or embedded controls

· Participate in set-up and commissioning of new facilities or upgrading of existing facilities

· Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and make recommendations that will improve efficiency or quality of operations

· Document specifications and operating procedures

· Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

· Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

· Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedure

Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff

May provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group

Experience and Education:

- 5+ years of experience preferred

- Bachelor's degree preferred
