The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) is responsible for maintaining the historic character of Capitol Square while providing for the health, safety and convenience of those who work in and visit the complex. CSRAB is charged with interpreting the role of Ohio's Statehouse in national and Ohio history, to celebrate its art and architecture and to highlight its ongoing impact on the daily lives of Ohioans and thereby inspire all Ohioans to participate in state government.

Statehouse Mission

The mission of the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board is to facilitate the operation of state government, preserve the historical integrity of the Capitol Square Complex and educate visitors about the history of Ohio and civics.

What You'll Do:

Under direction of the 3rd Shift Custodial Manager, cleans & maintains offices, break rooms, rest rooms, public areas, walls, equipment, drinking fountains (e.g., dusts, mops, sweeps, vacuums, polishes, buffs & strips floors, waxes floors, etc.); scrubs sinks, toilets, countertops, walls & ceilings; dusts & cleans & polishes furniture, woodwork, equipment, and fixtures; maintains & empties containers, wastebaskets; empties recycled materials into appropriate containers; cleans, dusts & washes windows, mirrors, window blinds, and drapes; polishes mirrors & glass; vacuums & shampoos carpet; replenishes soap, paper towels & toilet paper; performs miscellaneous related duties (e.g., orders &/or stocks supplies; moves furniture; sorts &/or washes linens); reports damage to the building or maintenance issues to supervisor; other duties as assigned.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. Physically perform manual labor & lift 50 pounds. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Skill in manual labor procedures & general maintenance & use of associated tools &/or equipment*. Ability to carry out simple instructions; follow basic oral instructions; cooperate with co-workers on group projects; physically perform manual labor & lift 50 pounds. Developed after employment.
