As an Electrical/Electronics (EE) Component Engineer, you will lead the development and documentation of EE components, including activities such as simulation, requirement specification, and supplier interaction. This role involves managing both technical and operational responsibilities across a portfolio of complex and/or multiple less complex components. You will be instrumental in driving component strategy and execution within a cross-functional context.
Key Responsibilities:
Component Development & Documentation:
Design, develop, and document EE components and subsystems.
Conduct and document simulations to validate component behavior and performance.
Specify and maintain technical requirements for EE components, ensuring alignment with system needs.
Supplier Interaction & Management:
Define and communicate component requirements to suppliers.
Lead operational activities and manage the distribution of work between internal teams and suppliers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, maintaining an effective working relationship.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of suppliers and recommend optimal sourcing solutions.
Component Evaluation & Strategy:
Evaluate new EE components for technical suitability and business fit.
Select internal components for use in product development.
Ensure business and cross-functional alignment for component decisions.
Deliver and execute a Product Strategy Roadmap for a few complex or a larger set of less complex EE components.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in EE component development or a similar technical area.
Hands-on experience with simulation tools and requirement management systems.
Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially in a cross-functional and supplier-facing context.
