Risk Management Leadership - $90k to $135k + Benefits - Onsite in Minneapolis, MN!

Are you a strategic legal operations leader with a passion for risk management and process improvement in the legal field?

THE RIGHT STAFF is currently partnering with a top-tier, innovative law firm in their search for an Operational Risk Manager to oversee firm-wide new business and client intake processes, conflicts management and resolution, and lateral hire due diligence.

Essential Job Duties:

• Lead and manage the Conflicts and New Business Intake team, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.

• Develop and enforce firm-wide policies on client conflicts, lateral hiring due diligence, and business intake risk management.

• Partner with General Counsel and firm leadership to ensure ethical compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.

• Supervise the conflicts and intake process using Intapp and related systems; liaise with external vendors for technology enhancements.

• Provide conflict resolution and client engagement guidance to attorneys and business professionals.

• Oversee development of workflows, training materials, and onboarding processes across all departments.

• Drive continuous improvement through process evaluation and implementation of best practices.

• Assist in client engagement letter compliance and the execution of outside counsel guidelines.

• Maintain excellent communication with all levels of firm personnel to support risk management operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or JD preferred.

• 5+ years of law firm experience in conflicts, intake, or risk management.

• 3+ years of experience managing or leading a team in a legal operational setting.

• Strong knowledge of ethical requirements, client intake protocols, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using intake/conflicts management software (Intapp strongly preferred).

Position Benefits, Pay, & Schedule:

• Direct-hire leadership role with a collaborative firm that values professional growth.

• Competitive salary range from $90k to $135k annually, depending on experience and internal equity.
