About the Role:
POSITION SUMMARY: This position maintains and sanitizes all areas of the Leisure Center.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
Sanitizes and cleans the locker rooms, steam/sauna rooms, all areas in the Leisure Center including fitness areas, basketball court, bowling center, arcade, kids play area, cinema room and pool deck.
Mops, vacuums and maintains all floor areas throughout the facility.
Maintains all equipment used for cleaning.
Helps with inventory for restocking of cleaning and paper products.
Refills all soap and paper dispensers throughout the facility.
Empties and cleans waste receptacles when needed.
Maintains janitorial supply closets and work-related areas.
Monitor and report necessary repairs and/or replacements
Attend scheduled training seminars and department meetings.
Regular, reliable, and productive attendance.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Able to work unsupervised while demonstrating attention to detail.
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates and purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
Maintains a professional standard at Glade Springs to include but not limited to: appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence and interactions with members, associates and guests. Does not discuss confidential items with fellow associates or work-related issues with members or guests.
Other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education and Experience:
Previous cleaning experience mandatory and previous janitorial experience preferred.
Safety protocol training when handling chemical cleaning agents is mandatory.
Knowing proper first aid treatment training when using chemical based cleaning products is preferred.
