CNC Machinist

Job Description

HiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the manufacturing industry!

Salary: Up to $39/hour

Shift: Flexible schedule

Location: Plymouth or Maple Grove, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate 4-axis and 5-axis mill/turn CNC machines to produce high-precision parts.

Edit existing CNC programs or create new ones with a basic understanding of tooling setups.

Work in a job shop environment handling a variety of parts (130 pieces) for aerospace, microelectronics, and defense industries.

Ensure all parts meet tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate machining.

Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.

Maintain machines and tooling to ensure smooth operation and quality output.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor machining issues; report major problems to maintenance.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven experience operating 4- and 5-axis mill/turn CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in CNC programming (editing or full programming) and tooling setups.

Strong ability to work with high precision and tight tolerances.

Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Experience in a job shop setting with aerospace, microelectronic, or defense components preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
