Were partnering with a private club in the Fort Myers area seeking a Director of Finance who can run a clean set of books and lead with vision. Youll oversee all financial operations from budgeting and forecasting to guiding capital projects and reporting directly to the GM/COO and Finance Committee.

Youll lead a talented accounting team, work cross-functionally with department heads, and help drive member confidence through financial clarity. This is the kind of environment where emotional intelligence matters just as much as GAAP and where politics, boardroom dynamics, and strategic thinking come with the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, payroll, financial reporting

Develop and present budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards

Serve as a financial advisor to the GM/COO, department heads, and Board

Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance

Mentor and lead a lean team of accounting and purchasing staff

Liaise with the Finance Committee and support long-range capital planning

What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)

7+ years in a senior finance role ideally in a private club, resort, or hospitality setting

Strong communicator who can simplify complex financials for non-finance stakeholders

Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution

Politically savvy and able to thrive in a high-touch, member-driven environment
