Project Manager – Building Automation Systems

Overview:

A Leading private integrator is seeking a Project Manager capable of overseeing complex control system projects from start to finish. This role involves leading a team of engineers, managing project schedules and budgets, and serving as the key commercial contact for clients. The ideal candidate will bring both technical understanding and project leadership experience, particularly within building automation or industrial control environments.

Responsibilities:

Own full project accountability, including margin performance and financial health.

Establish and manage detailed project schedules through completion.

Accurately forecast and allocate engineering resources.

Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Present project plans—including scope, schedule, and resource allocation—to leadership.

Manage project financials:

Monthly financial reporting and cost projections

Invoicing and cash flow tracking

Draft and manage change orders

Ensure quality standards are enforced and maintained across all project phases.

Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial discussions with customers.

Manage multiple large-scale or concurrent projects.

Diagnose and correct deviations from project plans or schedules.

Negotiate contract terms and conditions as needed.

Provide technical oversight and enforce engineering standards.

Contribute to internal project management tools and quality systems.

Balance financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development.

Qualifications:

3–5+ years of project leadership experience (Project Manager or Technical Lead)

Skilled in scheduling and leading internal and client-facing meetings

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project

Working knowledge of HVAC systems in large-scale building automation environments

Familiarity with sequences of operation and P&IDs for HVAC and utilities

Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control valves

Experience in building automation or industrial controls (Rockwell, Schneider, AVEVA, Inductive Automation) is a strong plus

Onsite commissioning experience is a plus
