Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Design Engineer to interpret preliminary designs and client specifications in order to identify required components and materials.

Issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors, ensuring all technical specifications are clearly communicated.

Provide prompt and accurate responses to vendor inquiries and clarification requests concerning the project scope.

Expedite vendor responses to ensure timely receipt of RFP submissions.

Analyze vendor bids to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the projects technical requirements.

Develop and maintain detailed cost summaries using Microsoft Excel, incorporating primary steel costs and vendor quotes.

Present total estimated project costs to the sales team, supporting them in developing client proposals.

Draft client proposals, consolidating all technical and commercial details for final sales approval.

Upon project award, review and update cost information to reflect current pricing and availability.

Organize and archive all project documentation in a dedicated SharePoint folder for seamless operational handoff.

Maintain regular communication with the Estimating Manager and Salesperson to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the proposal development process.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of estimating experience within the PEMB industry.

Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

High degree of organization and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Familiarity with Salesforce and MBS software is a plus.
