Location: North Broward Preparatory School

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of Admissions plays a key role in advancing the mission of North Broward Preparatory School by supporting all aspects of the admissions process, from lead through enrollment. This position works closely with the Director of Admissions, Marketing and Communications and other school leaders to identify, recruit, and enroll a diverse and mission-aligned student body from Pre-K through 12th grade. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, highly organized, and deeply committed to the value of an independent school education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise, mentor, and train admissions staff to ensure high performance and consistency.

Cross Function collaboration – partners with academic departments to enhance recruitment efforts

Serve as a primary point of contact for 20% of prospective families, guiding them through the admissions process with professionalism, warmth, and responsiveness.

Assist in planning and executing all admissions events, including open houses, tours, and yield events.

Conduct campus tours with prospective families and students.

Coordinate and support the application process, including data entry, file management, scheduling assessments/interviews, and communication with families.

Collaborate with faculty and division heads to schedule and evaluate student assessments and visits.

Participate in admissions committee meetings, contributing to application review and selection decisions.

Manage portions of the admissions database (e.g., Ravenna, Salesforce) to ensure data accuracy and timely communications.

Represent the school at community outreach events, fairs, and feeder school visits.

Track and analyze admissions data along with the Director of Admissions, Marketing and Communications to inform strategy and reporting.

Time Management: can successfully complete a diversity of tasks during peak enrollment season

Uphold and promote the school’s mission and vision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required; master's degree or relevant certifications a plus.

2–5 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a related field, preferably in a college/university, independent or private school setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

High level of organization, attention to detail, and discretion with sensitive information.

Comfort with databases, technology platforms, and data analysis.

Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.

A passion for education and the ability to articulate the value of a PreK–12 independent school experience.
