Requirements

The Equities – Prime Services Technology Team is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Java Developer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and supporting a brand-new Arranged Financing initiative within the Securities Finance domain. This role requires strong hands-on coding experience, a deep understanding of financial technology systems, and a collaborative mindset to work across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Take hands-on development ownership of a new greenfield buildout for the Arranged Financing platform within Securities Finance.

Work in close collaboration with technical leads and product managers to design and implement robust and scalable components.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative development cycles.

Build and maintain core functional and foundation services for Securities Finance products.

Drive enhancements and improvements in the existing Securities Finance platform.

Engage directly with business stakeholders to support feature rollout, clarify requirements, and provide production/user support.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to ensure seamless build, test, and deployment workflows.

Maintain detailed technical and support documentation to ensure clarity and consistency across environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with Core Java and enterprise-level application development.

Strong experience in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.).

Proven knowledge of distributed systems architecture and multi-threaded programming.

Deep experience with SQL/MySQL and familiarity with data modeling and performance tuning.

Experience integrating with messaging frameworks (Kafka, JMS, etc.).

Understanding of modern DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitHub Copilot, etc.

Familiarity with AWS cloud services, deployment, and infrastructure-as-code practices is a plus.

Exposure to Redis, Snowflake, or similar distributed data stores is an advantage.

Solid understanding of Securities Finance, Arranged Financing, or Prime Brokerage workflows is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

Previous work in Capital Markets, especially in Securities Lending, Repo, or Prime Brokerage.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technology and business teams in a high-pressure financial environment.

Working knowledge of automated testing frameworks and API-first development practices.

Ability to contribute to DevOps streamlining, including monitoring, logging, and alerting integration.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work both independently and as part of a high-performing global team.
