Job Description

The Loan Processor shepherds both residential and commercial real-estate loans from application through clear-to-close. Acting as the primary file owner, you’ll coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and attorneys to keep every loan accurate, complete, and on schedule while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Validate incoming loan applications and open files in the loan-origination system (LOS).

• Order credit, flood, fraud, and compliance checks.

• Collect and review borrower income, asset, insurance, title, and entity documentation—including rent rolls, operating statements, and corporate resolutions for commercial deals.

• Analyze documents, flag discrepancies, and satisfy underwriting conditions in a timely manner.

• Re-run automated underwriting (DU/LP/AUS) or prepare for manual underwriting as needed.

• Ensure adherence to TRID, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, and internal quality-control standards; maintain audit-ready electronic files.

• Prepare and balance closing disclosures/settlement statements; issue clear-to-close and schedule closings.

• Provide proactive status updates to borrowers, loan officers, brokers, and management; resolve documentation and timeline issues quickly.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years processing investment residential loans and/or commercial real-estate loans (bridge, DSCR, SBA, etc.).

• Proficiency with major LOS platforms (Encompass, Calyx, or similar), DU/LP, and e-signature portals; solid Excel or Google Sheets skills.

• Working knowledge of title, appraisal, environmental, and insurance requirements for 1-4 unit, multifamily, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties.

• Strong grasp of TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and commercial-lending compliance standards.

• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage 30–40 active files without sacrificing accuracy; excellent written and verbal communication.

• High-school diploma required; college degree or industry coursework (NAMMBA, MBA, or similar) preferred.Company Description
