Shift Supervisor - Power Plant

Astute’s People is partnering with a leading solid fuel plant owner and operator to recruit a Shift Supervisor for it’s plant in Worcester County, MA.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

Lead your shift team, ensuring that the plant is operated safely and efficiently.

Take full responsibility for the lockout / tagout system and other permits.

Manage work orders through the CMMS.

Conduct and manage plant walk rounds.

Serve as the Plant Managers representative during shift periods.

Train, develop and motivate your shift team.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

A 2nd Class Stationary Engineers licence.

Bachelors Degree / Associate Degree or equivalent is desirable.

Experience operating solid fuel power plant is desirable.

Experience as a Plant Operator / Control Room Operator and looking to develop their career.

Personal skills

The Shift Supervisor role would suit someone who is:

Happy working on a rotating shift pattern.

Computer literate.

Detailed orientated with strong attention to detail.
