As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions for next generation avionics. You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Deer Valley, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the aviation industry by designing and implementing advanced systems that enhance the safety, efficiency, and performance of aircraft. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate model-based systems, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet the required technical standards. Your work will contribute to the development of next generation avionics systems that improve the flying experience for pilots and passengers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement model-based systems for next generation avionics
Conduct integration and test on target hardware to ensure system functionality and performance
Develop display graphics applications for avionics systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system design aligns with industry best practices and technical standards
Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and industry trends to address complex engineering challenges and provide innovative solutions

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership
Model-Based development for critical embedded software
Ability to integration and test on target hardware
Familiarity with graphical applications for avionics displays
