What You Can Expect

As our Data Analyst Intern, in Columbus, OH, at The Ohio State University. You will be responsible for aiding in reducing energy consumption in campus buildings. This role involves working on various data analytics projects, assisting in data acquisition, conducting analyses, and supporting the maintenance of the ENGIE C3ntinel energy data platform. You will gain hands-on experience in data analytics within the context of energy conservation initiatives.

Everyday you will investigate and correct data errors, fulfill data requests, use C3ntinel to perform measurement and verification of energy conservation measures before and after implementation, extract data and calculate Energy Use Intensity (EUI), as well as perform analyses on energy conversation measures. You will contribute to sustainability projects at The Ohio State University. You will report to the Data Analyst II.

What You’ll Bring

You must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at The Ohio State University

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Prior coursework or experience in data analysis

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite

Proficiency in RStudio or Jupyter Notebook

Experience with PowerBI for data visualization

Familiarity with handling large datasets

Understanding of coding languages like Python

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Commitment to accuracy and timely delivery of work

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

Demonstrated ability to take initiative

Effective oral, written, and communication skills

Other duties as assigned

Additional Details

The internship work term will be September 8, 2025 - December 12, 2025, part-time 15-20 hours per week minimum

Additional hours/weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor

Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester

This role requires attendance at a worksite

Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Hourly Range: $24.50 to $33.50 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
