Washington Central Unified Union School District is looking for an equity-focused, student-centered Substance Abuse Counselor (SAP) to join U-32's teach.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan, organize, and implement prevention programming that centers equity, belonging, and inclusion, is relevant to students, and fosters a culture of contribution.
The ideal candidate would work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students about issues connected to mental health and substance abuse and prevention.
The right person would be able to provide a coordinated program that sees prevention as holistic, intervention as both collaborative and individual, and supports creative ways of engaging young people in the work of prevention.
This non-bargaining unit position will be responsible for individual counseling, group counseling, assessment and referral, prevention education, crisis intervention, documentation and reporting and will collaborate and consult with a variety of stakeholders.
Communication and collaboration are absolute key elements in this position.
