Primary Role:
Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Support the systematic study and analysis of the teaching-learning process and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs. Contribute to the alignment and implementation of quality curriculum to enhance student achievement. Help plan and deliver professional development for teachers and staff.
Make classroom walkthroughs and observations. Assist with testing. Help with application to STEM designation.

Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in education or related field is preferred
Current North Carolina Administrator License preferred, or in the process of obtaining
Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience
Skills:
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
Communication Skills: Communicates effectively with teachers, parents, students, and colleagues to solve problems, inform, and collaborate
Curriculum Knowledge: Capable of analyzing and evaluating curriculum for effectiveness and alignment with research-based practices
Instructional Leadership: Skilled in coaching, observing, providing feedback, and delivering professional development to improve instruction
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of effective instructional practices
Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership
Ensure alignment between school curriculum and the state’s accountability program
Implement MTSS processes to support student success
Deliver results-oriented professional development based on school needs
Collaborate with staff in instructional planning
Conduct fair and consistent evaluations within set timelines
Maintain open, timely communication with staff, parents, and students
Promote school accomplishments across internal and external communities
Analyze student performance data and facilitate data-driven instructional meetings
Leverage technology to support school management and instructional improvement
Maintain positive student behavior across school environments
Actively involved in application to NC STEM designation
Managerial Leadership
Comply with all Board policies
Assist in developing the master schedule that includes collaborative planning
Establish clear expectations, rules, and procedures for staff and students
Uphold confidentiality of student, parent, and staff information
Manage time effectively and conduct productive meetings
Cultural Leadership
Foster a supportive atmosphere for staff, students, and families
Recognize the role of school culture in achieving high performance
Promote community engagement and shared responsibility for success
Encourage collaboration among employees and nurture a positive work environment
Maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
Create opportunities for meaningful involvement by parents, community members, and local organizations
Seek and respond to feedback from the school community
Maintain a safe and respectful school environment
