Location: Information Technology

12 months, 8 hours/day

Grade 26, $21.77/hour

Non-Interim Position

Start Date: 7/1/2025

The job of IT Business Application Specialist II is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process with specific responsibilities for functioning within the current iVision business application for relevant IT department operations.

This job reports to Director of Information Technology

Essential Functions

Processes department requisitions.

Processes department fiscal coding

Processes department property control and inventory

Maintains budget information for a variety of department funds.

Supports schools and/or other departments in expenditure access to IT department funds.

Communicates via; in person, telephone, videophone, web conferencing, email, text etc.

Other Functions

Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, business workflow tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: technology fluency with shared files; output and input from technology; numeracy and mathematical operations; voice and video communications; adhering to safety practices; preparing and maintaining accurate records.

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform numeracy and some algebra; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: current, legacy and emerging operating systems; general IT network concepts; technology hardware; Inter/Intranet applications; data security; project management, processes and methodology.

ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather and/or collate ; and consider a number of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes; and utilize equipment under a variety of conditions for multiple purposes. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize a wide variety of types of job-related equipment. Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: setting priorities; multi-tasking; establishing effective relationships; being attentive to detail; communicating with diverse groups; conveying technical information to non-technical audiences; work in flexible shifts, including but not limited to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays; maintaining a positive rapport with students, staff, employees, and community.

Responsibility

Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to significantly impact the organization’s services.

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed in a generally hazard free environment.

Experience: Job related experience is required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
