Technology Engineer

Glazer Capital LLC is hiring a Technology Engineer in New York City, NY to develop analytical libraries and tools, design develop and deploy elegant software solutions, design deploy and manage firm database, work on data pipeline, financial data analysis, aggregation and organization using Python, solve inefficiencies in workflow processes.

$100,000 per year.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or related engineering field, and 1 year of experience in software development and data process automation, including: Developing financial process automation and analytics tools for a Fortune 500 company using VBA and Python to automate financial reporting, accounting, and data scraping/analytics; Developing VBA tools to automate Excel tasks and stand-alone Excel tools with macros; Developing Natural Language Processing tools; Investment support, process automation using Python pandas; Batch files and task scheduler tasks; interacting with data coming out of Trade /Investment accounting systems and automating reconciliation responsibilities; trade settlement and accounting procedures in investment research, risk management and operations; Selenium, BeautifulSoup webscraping libraries in Python and social media APIs; and at least 3 of the following: R, SQL, HTML, or matlab.
