Primary responsibilities will include developing control strategies, programming PLCs, designing HMI interfaces, and ensuring the seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues to achieve resolutions.

Optimize Plant automation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Setup and maintain control parameters for GMAW and resistance welding (WTC, Bosch, Lincoln, Fronius).

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.

This role is part of the Plant Engineering Team and reports to the Engineering Supervisor.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent automotive manufacturing experience.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as Controls Engineer within a manufacturing environment, automotive industry a plus.

Experience with HMI development and configuration; strongly preferred experience with FANUC robots.

Proven track record of designing and implementing complex control systems.

Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, and system integration; assembly welding a plus.

Experience with industry-specific software and hardware platforms.

Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic programming.

Prior involvement in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

Familiarity with regulatory standards and ensuring compliance in engineering practices.

Understanding electrical/controls circuitry and schematics.

Ability to work collaborative within a cross-functional team environment.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
