Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control efforts on a high-profile data center construction project in Iowa. This role is critical to ensuring that all materials, systems, and workmanship meet the strict standards required in a mission-critical environment. The QA/QC Manager will work closely with project teams, trade partners, and client representatives to ensure quality across all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage the site-specific QA/QC program tailored to mission-critical/data center requirements.

Inspect and verify all phases of construction including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical installations.

Manage documentation, testing procedures, commissioning protocols, and compliance with client and code requirements.

Conduct regular audits and quality walks to monitor field compliance and proactively address issues before they affect schedule or budget.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for non-conformance issues and work with field teams to implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with commissioning agents, design teams, and trade contractors to ensure quality deliverables at each project milestone.

Maintain comprehensive quality records, punch lists, and turnover packages in alignment with project closeout procedures.

Qualifications:

5+ years of QA/QC experience in commercial or industrial construction; data center experience strongly preferred.

Deep understanding of construction quality standards, inspection protocols, and commissioning procedures.

Familiarity with mission-critical systems, redundancy standards, and installation best practices for MEP systems.

Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and interface directly with clients.

Proficiency in quality documentation platforms such as Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools.

Certifications such as OSHA 30, CQM-C, or ASQ a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
