Description:

Full Stack Engineer

Location: Remote / Colorado

Compensation: Competitive salary + meaningful equity

About Maiven

Maiven is on a mission to rapidly decarbonize the residential building stock and make the energy transition accessible for everyone. We design intuitive, resident-facing tools that help households unlock energy upgrades, rebates, and deep carbon savings—especially in historically underserved communities.

Our team is small, fast-moving, and deeply mission-aligned. We’re looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join us as we scale. If you thrive in ambiguity, love building high-impact products, and care deeply about the user experience—you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

Build and enhance the Maiven platform across both frontend and backend, working closely with our Lead Engineer and product team.

Own and deliver full-stack features using React, TailwindCSS, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript.

Contribute to architectural and infrastructure decisions that support scalability, maintainability, and speed.

Collaborate in tight feedback loops with product and end users to build tools that are intuitive, polished, and deeply helpful.

Participate in sprint planning, rapid iteration cycles, and code reviews with a focus on quality and care.

Think beyond “functional” — craft experiences that are lovable, not just viable.

Who You Are

You have 4–10 years of experience building and shipping software that supports real users in production environments.

You have production-level experience across the modern web stack — especially React, Node.js (NestJS), TypeScript/JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and Docker

You’re familiar with AWS services like S3, SQS, and Lambdas, and you’ve worked in cloud-native environments.

You’ve either been a founder, worked at an early-stage startup, or are energized by startup speed and ownership.

You have extremely high standards for customer experience and design. You don’t check the box on a feature until it feels right for the end user.

You’re obsessed with the user journey and bring customer empathy into every technical decision.

You thrive in fast-moving, low-structure environments and are comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Nice to have: Python and Pandas for light data analysis; experience with ExpressJS, Vite, and/or design-minded implementation; OCR and spatial data processing (e.g. PostGIS)

What We Offer

Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.

A chance to work directly with a small, high-caliber team solving real-world problems.

A product and engineering culture that prizes beauty, simplicity, and user delight.

Flexibility in work location and hours — we care more about outcomes than clocking in.

A seat at the table as we shape the future of residential energy efficiency and climate tech.

We don’t do MVPs. We build things people love.
