Coordinate with project stakeholders to produce permit-ready documentation
Contribute to system design decisions including electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and communications
Perform structural evaluations and contribute to code-compliant, constructible solutions
Support internal planning through estimating, scheduling, and documentation review
Collaborate with quality and safety teams to ensure project alignment with industry standards
Engage with cross-functional teams and contribute to design discussions and solution development
Preferred Experience and Skills
Proven background in building systems design and coordination within commercial or industrial environments
Working knowledge of relevant codes (IBC, NEC, NFPA 101, mechanical/plumbing codes, etc.)
Experience with Revit or similar BIM/CAD software
Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities
Familiarity with QA/QC processes and construction documentation
Ability to communicate clearly across disciplines and build strong working relationships
Exposure to permitting processes and optimization of systems for constructability
Professional certifications (EIT, PE, general contractor license, etc.) are a plus
Solid foundation in software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
Ability to manage tasks in a team-oriented environment and contribute to group success
Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
Advanced education or certification in engineering, building construction, or business is a plus
