Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role focused on Sales or Applications within the electrical and power equipment industry
At least 1 year of hands-on technical experience with power equipment
At least 1 year of experience working with regulatory standards and agencies such as UL, NEC, and nationally recognized testing laboratories (e.g., cUL, ETL, DOE, CSA, IEC)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus
Demonstrated ability to assess customer requirements, interpret project specifications, define technical application needs, conduct product demonstrations, deliver compelling technical presentations, and craft customized solutions to address specific challenges
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to persuade and present effectively
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20%
Capable of breaking down complex technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels
Responsibilities
Analyze and align customer needs with standard or customized product solutions
Collaborate with the Commercial Team to define the scope of supply based on project drawings and specifications
Develop accurate cost estimates for custom-engineered products during the bid phase
Work closely with the Customer Experience Manager to direct customer inquiries and opportunities to the appropriate internal teams
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
Manage all technical interactions throughout the pre-sale and post-sale processes
Communicate client feedback and requirements to R&D and design teams to inform product development and enhancements
Conduct competitive analysis and maintain documentation of market intelligence
Ensure engineering solutions meet customer specifications, considering mechanical, electrical, safety, cost, and manufacturability criteria
Partner with sales managers, project managers, and commercial operations to execute strategic sales initiatives
Evaluate and prioritize customer inquiries based on strategic fit and potential
