The Final Assembly Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Robotics Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to Assembly Final Assembly Engineering team. This includes design/drawing review, buyoff support, install/commissioning, and equipment start up support. Reporting to the Seibi Manager the person in this role will support the Final Assembly Production Engineering department's objective to provide high quality, low cost and reliable plant Equipment and control systems.
About the Role
What you’ll be doing – mainly doing PLC programming of electrical circuits and industrial controls. Pneumatics and hydraulics experience. Motor starters. Robot programming.
Responsibilities
Install, setup and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers.
Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions.
Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment.
Investigate to determine modification requirements.
Implement modifications. Trial and adjust.
Lower cost and decrease project time by confirming safety, quality, and productivity of equipment at vendor, prior to installation.
Minimize adjustment time during vehicle trials by performing quality trials at vendor.
Lower cost and decrease project time by overseeing installation by vendor, and facilitating kanban process.
Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments, as identified during online vehicle trials.
Confirm quality results by secondary method (Torque check, vacuum profiles, etc).
Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment.
Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge to local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members.
Qualifications
Industrial robotics, eet, industrial robots.
Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (Toyopuc, Seimens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley) - 2 years.
Comprehensive knowledge of PLC’s - 2 years.
Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical circuits and Industrial controls - 2 years.
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
Ability to travel up to at times. (Including International travel).
Ability to work overtime when required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs on occasion.
Ability to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching on varying surfaces.
Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs.
Ability to work in various environments including hot, cold, or confined spaces.
Stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work long shifts.
Required Skills
2+ years Industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledge of Industrial Robot programming and teaching.
Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and set up.
Knowledge of safety scanners and programming.
Knowledge of various industrial controls networking, EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet etc.
Automotive manufacturing experience.
