Position: Senior Embedded Engineer
Location: New Castle, Delaware
Compensation: Around $150,000 + Excellent Benefits
We’ve partnered with a world-renowned manufacturer of precision instruments that’s building out their next generation of scientific and laboratory-grade equipment. They’re now looking for a Senior Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer to take on a hands-on role developing the low-level firmware that drives these high-performance systems.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who thrives in close-to-the-metal development—working directly with sensors, motors, and control systems in a real-time environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers
Work in bare-metal and RTOS-based environments
Interface directly with hardware: sensors, ADCs/DACs, motors, and control logic
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams throughout product development
Conduct thorough debugging, validation, and testing of firmware on hardware prototypes
What They’re Looking For:
Strong hands-on experience with embedded firmware development (bare-metal and/or RTOS)
Proficiency in C/C++ and deep understanding of microcontroller architecture
Solid grasp of real-time constraints, interrupt service routines, and low-level debugging tools
Comfortable working with I2C, SPI, UART, and other hardware-level interfaces
