Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator for either the 1st shift (7am-3pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am) in a dynamic job shop environment located in Massillon, OH. This role involves operating CNC machines, performing tool changes, machine setups, and using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines including multi-spindle operations.

Perform tool changes, sharpening, and grinding.

Conduct machine setups and adjustments with provided training.

Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to maintain tolerances.

Interpret and work from blueprints.

Maintain fluid levels and ensure cleanliness of machines and work area.

Perform basic repairs to machines as needed.

Pay close attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years CNC experience, preferably with lathes or mills.

Blueprint reading proficiency.

Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers.

Knowledge of shop math.

Experience with basic hand and power tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with machine setups and tool changes.

Familiarity with ACME, multi-spindle, single spindle, and Shutte CNC machines.

Programming experience, particularly with Fanuc controls and G&M code.

Conversational programming skills.

Work Environment

Work in a spacious 800,000 sq ft facility that is climate controlled with air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter. Choose between 1st shift (7am - 3pm) or 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) with minimal overtime. Enjoy two paid 10-minute breaks during the shift and the option to eat at your workstation. Tobacco chewing is permitted, and a smoke shack is available for breaks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Massillon, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $24.00/hr.
