Description:

In this position, you will be part of a creative fabrication team that specializes in the production of custom architectural and decorative canopies and signs.

Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, action and goal oriented, reliable, competent, and passionate about the quality of their work.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble structural metal products according to specifications, verbal instructions, and detailed drawings/blueprints

Develop layout and plan sequence of operations

Set up and operate fabrication machines, shear, press break, saws and drill presses

Hammer, chip, cut, bend, and straighten metal and grind work piece(s) to specifications

Position, align, fit, and weld parts together

Design and construct templates and fixtures for repetitive production

Verify conformance of work piece(s) to specifications, using square, ruler, measuring tools

Weld a variety of metals including predominantly aluminum and steel

Requirements:

Reliable transportation

3-5 Years previous welding / metal fabrication experience and knowledge

Exceptional attendance

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

The ability to work well in a team environment where situations and demands change daily

Problem solving skills in a fast-paced, and at times, stressful environment

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
