Transmission Manager

AVA Energy are partnered with an electric utility focused on the transition to a renewable energy grid. Lead a technical team in transmission system planning, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of engineers focused on transmission planning.

Perform and oversee technical analyses to support grid reliability and efficiency.

Collaborate with regional stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Contribute to innovation through research partnerships and advanced modeling.

Manage budgets, project planning, and staff development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).

4+ years in transmission planning; leadership experience required.

Experience working directly with ISOs and Utilities.

Proficiency in planning software (e.g., PowerWorld, PSSE, TARA, PSLF) and programming tools.
