Job Description: This role will be crucial in supporting all aspects of our digital transformation, including the implementation of new processes and Client standard traceability system in Automech, as well as ensuring their seamless integration into our existing operations to support our roadmap to be ready for our Lighthouse designation with the WEF.
What will you do?
Responsible for the integration and delivery of digital/natively connected equipment from manufacturing at our Client plants.
Manipulate data to ensure communication link between legacy systems and new systems
Ensures the Gateway devices are ready to communicate both downstream and upstream.
Partners with Data-Flow teams to validate work prior to shipment
Lead in conducting digital manufacturing qualification assessments
Verifies planned configuration against digital architecture and helps influence architectural strategy as technology evolves
Test validity of QR codes on targeted products and kits, report issues, and track resolution
Implement Industry 4.0 Smart Factory solutions
Collect and select improvement opportunities/ideas from various sources, develops Digital Apps/solutions in conjunction with end user from Approval for start, Feasibility, Design, Pilot and Release.
Implement and adapt processes on manufacturing workstation for existing products by improving the industrial performance in a highly automated facility using Client Performance System techniques and tools
Involved in the specifications and quotation of new line architectures and industrial scenarios
Ensure the deployment of Lean/6 Sigma tools.
Manage system updated of the organizational structure of the shopfloor (production line, work centers, storage locations) when modifications are required.
Increase awareness and digital acumen level of site population
Network continuously with Digital communities being part of one or several communities to share and replicate the best practices
What qualifications will make you successful?
Bachelor’s degree in a field of Engineering (i.e. Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent is required)
Strong interaction with hardware and communication networks.
Lean Manufacturing Knowledge
Dealing with Complexity, Informing Others, Leadership, Hardware Specifications, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Presenting Technical Information, CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design
3+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing environment including business informatics and/or computer science as well as experience with data communication devices – (networking, wireless devices, gateways, routers, cloud servers)
SQL and SQL database knowledge is required
Strong background in wireless and wired communications protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, CAN, Profibus, digital device test applications, and system integration documentation
Extensive experience with OPC Unified Architecture platform
HTTP protocol understanding
Strong PLC programming (Unity, ProWORX, SoMachine)
Experience configuring and designing of HMI systems.
Familiar with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
Electronic circuit knowledge: digital, analog, power and high voltage.
Proven ability to work independently in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions.
Project Management competency, Business knowledge & Digital Savvy profile are required
