Overview :
Our client will be hiring a Procurement Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in global sourcing of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hardware, cloud migrations, and telecommunications. We are looking for strategic procurement experience to support the organization's success. This role will set the strategy, define vendors and build out the roadmap!
Experience supporting a global organization in a highly regulated environment is important.
Expect to work onsite in the Portland area 2 days per week is ideal.
You'll bridge Corporate IT Shared Services, suppliers, departments, and Corporate Procurement Shared Services to drive top-tier performance for our IT product groups.
How does this role add the most value in the first 3 months?
Understand the business and stakeholders and what they need. Understand the current spend, Contract renewal dates and negotiations. Schedule all-day sessions with internal IT.
Responsibilities:
Lead global procurement activities for IT technology product groups
Provide leadership and mentorship to buyers at regional locations worldwide
Utilize SAP ARIBA (buying platform) for end-to-end procurement processes
Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies
Manage supplier (50 ) relationships and internal partnerships
Achieve positive negotiation outcomes through procurement best practices
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiencies
Oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including sourcing vendors, developing RFPs, scheduling vendor meetings, and providing detailed analysis and recommendations
Negotiate and execute global agreements and manage the contract lifecycle of complex agreements
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams within a matrix organization
Qualifications:
3 years of experience as a Procurement Manager with strategic technology sourcing
Experience procuring professional services - IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS
Experience managing and writing Requests for Proposals (RFP process)
Experience in supporting legal, including knowledge of standard contract structures and key terms
Experience managing a global category spend exceeding $50 million
Experience working in a highly regulated environment
Experience managing 50 supplier relationships
Preferred:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QLIK, SAP, and ARIBA
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering
Fluent English skills; German an added value
Membership in procurement and/or information technology organizations
Procurement and/or information technology certifications
