We're seeking a Plastics Process Engineer to join our team inNorthern Indiana (Milford, IN), and support our mission of advancing agricultural systems that help feed the world.
Summary of Role:
As a Plastics Process Engineer, you'll focus on process optimization and continuous improvement in our injection molding operations. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production, you'll enhance equipment performance, implement best practices, and support new product development. You'll be hands-on and directly involved in identifying and implementing cost-effective improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Optimize injection molding processes, molds, and tooling to improve throughput and quality.
Write and validate clear, effective work instructions in collaboration with the Engineering team.
Train operators on new processes and ensure understanding of procedures.
Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues in partnership with Maintenance and Product Managers.
Analyze plant layout and machine operation for efficiency improvements.
Support cross-functional teams with continuous improvement initiatives and NPD projects.
Create reports and procedures that promote consistent, scalable process workflows.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's in Plastics Engineering Technology or similar field preferred; Associate's degree or relevant work experience considered.
0–3 years in plastics processing, preferably in injection molding.
